Chi Cà- Solanum

Chi Cà (danh pháp: Solanum) là chi thực vật có hoa lớn và đa dạng.

Các loài thuộc chi Cà phân bố trong các môi trường sống tự nhiên khác nhau, có thể là các loài hằng niên hoặc lưu niên, thân leo, cây bụi hoặc cây gỗ nhỏ. Nhiều loài trước đây thuộc các chi riêng rẽ như Lycopersicon (cà chua) hay Cyphomandra nay đã được gộp thành các phân chi hoặc các đoạn (section) thuộc chi Cà (Solanum). Vì vậy, đến nay chi Cà có khoảng 1.500 đến 2.000 loài.

Medicine[edit]

While most medical relevance of Solanum is due to poisonings which are not uncommon and may be fatal, several species are locally used in folk medicine, particularly by native peoples who have long employed them. Giant devil's-fig (S. chrysotrichum) has been shown to be an effective treatment for seborrhoeic dermatitis in one preliminary study.^[4]

Ecology[edit]

Solanum species are used as food plants by the larvae of some Lepidoptera species (butterflies and moths) - see list of Lepidoptera that feed on Solanum.

The genus was established by Carl Linnaeus in 1753.^[5] Its subdivision has always been problematic, but slowly some sort of consensus is being achieved.

The following list is a provisional lineup of the genus' traditional subdivisions, together with some notable species.^[5] Many of the subgenera and sections might not be valid; they are used here provisionally as the phylogeny of this genus is not fully resolved yet and many species have not been reevaluated.

Cladistic analyses of DNA sequence data suggests that the present subdivisions and rankings are largely invalid. Far more subgenera would seem to warrant recognition, withLeptostemonum being the only one that can at present be clearly subdivided into sections. Notably, it includes as a major lineage several members of the traditional sectionsCyphomandropsis and the old genus Cyphomandra.^[1]

    Mô tả: Cây thảo cao 30-100cm, sống hằng năm hoặc lâu năm, có thân phân cành. Lá nguyên, hình trái xoan nhọn, thuôn dần thành cuống; phiến hơi phân thuỳ hay có góc. Hoa họp thành chùm dạng tán ở các cành bên; tràng hoa màu trắng hoặc hồng hay tim tím, rộng 1-1,2cm, cuống hoa dài 1-2mm. Quả nang tròn, lúc còn non có màu lục sau chuyển sang màu vàng hay đỏ, khi chín hẳn có màu đen, chứa nhiều hạt dẹp.
    Cây ra hoa vào mùa thu.
    
    Bộ phận dùng: Toàn cây - Herba Solani Nigri, thường gọi là Long quỳ.
    Nơi sống và thu hái: Cây toàn thế giới, mọc hoang ở vùng núi, trong các bãi hoang, ruộng khô. Thu hái vào mùa hè thu, dùng tươi hay phơi khô.
    Thành phần hoá học: Trong cây có Solanigrine, solasodine, solanigridine. Lá chứa sinh tố C với hàm lượng khá cao 215mg trong 100g. Quả và hạt giàu hoạt chất hơn là lá, còn có các terpen, nhựa.
    Tính vị, tác dụng: Vị đắng, hơi ngọt, tính hàn, có ít độc; có tác dụng thanh nhiệt giải độc, lợi niệu. Ở châu Âu, người ta cho rằng nó có tính chống co thắt, giảm đau, làm dễ ngủ, an thần; dùng ngoài nó có tính làm dịu.
    Công dụng: Được sử dụng dùng chữa 1. Cảm sốt, viêm hầu họng; 2. Viêm phế quản cấp; 3. Bệnh đường tiết niệu, viêm thận cấp, viêm tiền liệt tuyến, tiểu tiện khó khăn; 4. Bạch đới quá nhiều, lỵ; 5. Viêm vú, u ác tính.
    Liều dùng 9-15g, dạng thuốc sắc. Dùng ngoài chữa mụn nhọt, viêm mủ da, chốc lở, eczema và rắn cắn; lấy cây tươi giã đắp hoặc nấu nước rửa đắp.
    Đơn thuốc: Viêm phế quản cấp: Lu lu đực 30g, Cát cánh 10g, Cam thảo 3g, sắc uống.
